EIA: US Gasoline Demand to Hit High
The EIA ups its forecast for US gasoline demand this year to 9.33M barrels/day, which would be the highest level on record, surpassing the previous high of 9.29M set in 2007. US gasoline demand was widely thought to have peaked in 2007 as cars became increasingly fuel efficient, but cheap gasoline prices have spurred more consumers to hit the road and buy bigger cars.
