Iranian Oil imports Into Europe Look Set to Rise
Europe looks to be importing more oil from Iran, say analysts at JBC Energy. Data suggest flows of Iranian crude into the region could rise significantly this month, potentially topping 400,000 barrels a day. Iran is ramping up oil production and exports after years of international sanctions ended in January. JBC sees "sustainable" Iranian crude exports--currently at close to 2 million barrels a day--rising by around 700,000 barrels a day compared to the first half of last year.
