Norway's Oil Output Rises 2% in May
Norway's oil output shows no sign of dropping off, although crude is trading at less than half its price two years ago. May output rose 2% on the year to 1.55 million barrels a day, 1.5% higher than estimated, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. In the first five months of 2016, Norway's total output--including products like gas, condensate and natural gas liquids--is up 8% on the year to 4.2 million barrels of oil equivalent a day.
